Submissions Due: January 14, 2011 The Ethiopian Information Technology Professionals Association (EITPA) is issuing a call to IT professionals, researchers and scientists for professional and academic abstracts or papers for presentation during the EICTF 2011 and may be published as part of the written conference proceedings and/or online. The theme of the 2011 conference is “ Building Software in the Developing World. ” Building computer systems in developing nations includes challenges unknown to IT teams in developed countries. The challenges we face include:
In order for the systems being developed to be implemented successfully, these challenges must be addressed by IT teams. This conference seeks presentations from professionals and academics that fit with the theme of the conference. However, papers on any information technology or telecommunication topics will be considered. Submissions for panels, half- and full-day tutorials on topics of relevance will also be accepted. Each accepted author will receive a bound copy of the final conference proceeding. Electronic versions of the publication will be made available on the EICTF website after the conference. Submission Guidelines Submitters MUST submit papers by using the Abstract/Submission form that can be downloaded from (www.eitpa.org.et/EICTF/Downloads/Abstract Submission Form.doc). Submitters MAY ALSO submit a full paper if available. Academic submissions are strongly encouraged to submit full paper. Papers do not need to be submitted to be considered for the conference. All presenters MUST submit a paper prior to the conference by filling the Abstract/Submission form. Papers must be no more than 10 pages in length (including figures). Text should be 12 point Times New Roman font. Illustrations and/or photographs must be inserted directly into the paper within the margins. All abstracts should be submitted electronically in MS Word via e-mail attachment to info@eitpa.org.et Acceptance Procedure The submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed.
